DAVID BRITO & TENDENCIA NUEVA A quintet in search of its own new music

DAVID BRITO and his colleagues in the Quintet are on the way to discover the jazz in connection with Venezuelan folk music and an unusual cast. The music is difficult to classify, but can certainly be called world music.

David Brito was born in Venezuela in 1980 and completed a large part of his studies at the Conservatory José Luis Paz. He is a very versatile musician who succeeded in combining a classical career with that of a jazzmusician. After his resettlement to Switzerland, he completed his training in the classical field at the Conservatory of Basel.

The original Quintet presents itself with a powerful playfulness and sense for the subtleties of outstanding instrumentalists.
